About Scholarship Fund
Community engagement, accessibility and inclusion are principal values of the South East Melbourne Magic Basketball Club.
The Ray White Player Scholarship Fund was created to ensure all members of the community have access to the player development opportunities and principles of the South East Melbourne Basketball Club Inc.
100% of the fund goes directly towards ensuring children that are disadvantaged, vulnerable, or from low socioeconomic backgrounds have the same opportunities to participate in local club based basketball competition.
The fund is made possible via contributions from our Community Partners, chartiable donations through the Australian Sports Foundation, and club fundraising activities.
Help Us, Help Them
Our Scholarship Fund is made possible through Community Partnerships and charitable donations made possible via the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF).
Every dollar helps to ensure another child has the same opportunities to participate, develop, and thrive under the safe and embracing environment offered by SEM Magic.
Additionally, the ASF is the only deductible gift recipient for sport in Australia. This means that donations of $2 or more to approved projects on our website are tax deductible.
After making a donation, you'll receive an official receipt from the ASF that you can use in your income tax return.
Winter 2024 Applications
Applications are now open for the Winter 2024 season.
Through our first 18 months, we have provided over 50 Scholarhips. SEM Magic is proud to offer continued support to the local community through this initiative.

Team Sports 4 All
Team Sports 4 All (TS4A) assist families who are experiencing financial hardship; due to their situation they cannot afford to pay for the costs involved in community team sport.
They meet the families, connect them with a club and team, provide financial aid, and most importantly give ongoing support via their volunteers to encourage long term participation.
As a partner, TS4A and SEM Magic work together to help ensure inclusion and accessibility options are available through our Scholarship Fund.
